Self-care doesn’t have to be something you do on your own, it can be something you share with other people.
One way to introduce some “feel-good fun” – especially at work – is to have a word of the week.
I started this over 20 years ago, when I worked as a PA for a large FTSE100 company. I would place a word on the whiteboard behind me, and the whole team would try to fit the one we’d chosen into a conversation over the course of seven days.
It’s a good way to bring some light into an otherwise busy or frantic environment – I once managed to get the word Aardvark (chosen by a colleague) in on nationwide TV!
So, if you want to join in, offer a word of the week to your friends, family or colleagues and be creative!
I’d love to hear how you make this work so do leave a comment under this post – or if you share on your own social media, just use the hashtag #GetAWordIn (and link to this post if you want).
In this busy world, where it seems everyone is talking, it can be a bit of fun to Get a Word In.
